Traditional Guesthouse · Dorez, Librazhd

In the Heart of Shebenik-Jabllanicë

Bujtina KAEL sits in the village of Dorez, Librazhd — your gateway to Shebenik-Jabllanicë National Park, one of Albania’s largest and newest protected areas, declared a national park in 2008. Spanning 34,507 hectares (345 km²), the park rises from 300 m to over 2,200 m above sea level, sheltering 14 glacial lakes, ancient UNESCO-protected beech forests, and rare wildlife including brown bears, wolves, and the Balkan lynx.

Rated 5.0 by over 225 guests, Bujtina KAEL offers 9 comfortable rooms with mountain views, a daily homemade buffet breakfast, garden terrace, hot tub, free WiFi and parking — genuine Albanian hospitality, refined for the modern traveller.

Park & Guesthouse
Wake up to panoramic mountain views in one of our 9 private rooms, each blending traditional Albanian warmth with modern comfort. Every morning begins with a homemade buffet breakfast — fresh white cheese, mountain honey, handmade byrek, free-range eggs, homemade jam, and herbal mountain tea. After a day of exploring, unwind in the hot tub under open skies, sip local wine or raki at the bar, and enjoy the garden terrace with direct views of the Shebenik peaks. Free WiFi and private parking are included.
Shebenik-Jabllanicë National Park covers 34,507 hectares — roughly 345 million m² of pristine nature in eastern Albania, within Elbasan County. The park stretches across the Librazhd and Prrenjas regions, forming a unique cross-border natural corridor with North Macedonia. Elevations range from 300 m to over 2,200 m, creating an extraordinary diversity of landscapes: dense forests, alpine meadows, rocky peaks, and hidden valleys that feel untouched by time.
Hidden above 1,800 m, 14 glacial lakes formed during the Ice Age mirror the sky in crystal-clear stillness — among Albania’s most breathtaking hiking destinations. The park also protects ancient beech forests recognised by UNESCO as World Heritage, some of Europe’s oldest and most untouched ecosystems. These forests and alpine meadows are home to rare species: the brown bear, the wolf, and the elusive Balkan lynx — one of the world’s most endangered cats.
With a perfect 5.0 rating from over 225 travellers, Bujtina KAEL is one of the highest-rated stays in all of Elbasan County. Guests from around the world praise the warm family hospitality, the quality of homemade food, the spotless rooms, and the unbeatable location as the ideal base camp for adventures in Shebenik-Jabllanicë National Park. This isn’t just a place to sleep — it’s where the park experience begins and where every evening ends with mountain air, good food, and stories shared under the stars.
